Hi warpigs90300,
What phone make and model do you have? Most important, what ANDROD VERSION do you have on board? [Go into:- Settings - General - ABOUT DEVICE. Scrole down to official Device Name, Model Number & ANDROID VERSION. [If not on Android, I cannot help.]
My Samsung is still on old Android 6.0.1; with 'USB Tethering' under Network connections - 'Tethering & Mobile Hotspots'. [I use USB Tethering for all home internet, without any problems].
This is a phone software issue, not a 'Boost service issue'. So, if cannot be sorted within Boost Community, suggest you phone Tech Support of phone Maker; or shop where purchased.
Regards, Shalama.
In addition to my comments of 11/05/19, there could be a problem with your USB connections [either end] pluged into your computer & phone. IF only a 'USB power connection', then there will be no internet transfer to your computer's USB 2 or 3 input.
Also, ensure your mobile Data is on BEFORE plugging into computer. If your ' Tethering & Mobile Hotspots' has a ghost image saying 'USB Tethering', but you cannot get box to tick, it is probably a USB cable problem. So, try an alternative connection. If you run a Samsung, thier 'phone plug in' is not the standard mini USB; slightly different size.
Regards, Shalama.
