How to manage unwelcome calls

We have all experienced this from one time or another; getting a call that we would rather not receive. Whether this was a hoax, marketing or something more serious, there are options to stop receiving these calls. These range from blocking specific numbers on your device to opting-out of certain types of calls or as last resort – changing your phone number.


Before we get into the options, if you are receiving harassing, calls or messages that are life-threatening, contact the police immediately.


If you receiving calls from a specific number or contact, then you can block the number directly from your handset. Steps will vary based on your device, check out the links below.





For calls from business and marketing related, you can sign up for the Do Not Call register online, over the phone or via snail mail.
