Adult content filter

Hi

Just wondering whether there are any adult content filters offered by Boost. My kids use my phone to suft the internet, play games and etc and want to make sure no inappropriate content pops up.

Thanks

Re: Adult content filter

Nothing at provider level (I am not sure any provider offers that kind of filter).

Maybe you can find an app for your phone to filter?

Telstra has the so called "Smart Control. However we are not particular of Boost Customers can avail of that as well..

you might want to try.

Block outgoing and incoming voice calls, SMS, MMS or restrict access to 30 categories of inappropriate mobile content , including pornography, gambling, profanity, social networking, alcohol, malware and many others on mobile services on your account and those not on your account (consent is required from those not on your account)

Block unwanted incoming calls, SMS and MMS

Restrict outgoing calls

Set ‘always allow’ lists to ensure family and trusted friends can still stay in touch

Manage mobile internet access by blocking access to inappropriate content (either by specific URL/IP addresses, or by choosing from 30 preset content categories)

Set special time periods when voice calls, SMS, MMS and mobile internet access are allowed (or restricted)

Re: Adult content filter

If your child is using an iPhone, you can use the content restrictions in the settings. If it's Android, you can enable Safe Search Filter on Google App, changing DNS to block porn sites. K9 and OpenDNS seem to are good adult content filters.
