That phone model seems to have something funky going on. Pretty much everyone complaining about that issue has that exact model. I dare say if you put the Boost sim into a different 4G capable phone, you will see the 4G is in fact working.
Solutions have been varied, and what works for one person, doesn't work for another.
You could try this (at your own risk). Apparently this doesn't stick after you reboot, so you need to do it again.
1. Go to your dialler and type 3845#*855# which will bring up the hidden menu
2. Click on "LTE-Only"
3. Click "Modem Settings"
4. Click "RAT Selection"
5. Pick "GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto"
Other solutions have been to get a new Boost blank sim card sent out, or even forcing the latest firmware update for your phone.
