This is bad advice.
Firstly the number you have given is for callers in Australia, secondly live chat won't help with overseas requests - they just direct you to do the things that are impossible, being overseas.
Live chat provided me with a number for an "overseas team":
Do not worry We have a Overseas special team who deals with Recharge request. As you are our valued customer all you need to do is call our specialised Team on +61 439 125 109.
Admittedly I haven't actually called it yet, but your overseas special team is a mobile number?
There are four ways to recharge:
You can pay with a credit card, PayPal or a voucher purchased from a retailer. We also have an auto recharge option, so you can set that up and concentrate on more important things.
If you are having difficulties, please clear your cookies, cache and browser history on your computer or mobile device and try recharging again.
However if you are still unable to recharge please contact Boost on live chat for further assistance.
I’m also having problems while overseas in Vietnam. I made sure that roaming was enabled and I purchased the add on so it would work. I’m set up so that missed/unanswered calls go to a text message. So the way it should work is I won’t answer any calls but just let them send me a free message, I don’t make any calls or send any messages so I shouldn’t actually use any of the $ from the add-on. I use wifi for all internet (have switched off mobile data) and keep in contact with family via Facebook messenger. After a week I hadn’t received any messages about missed calls so I asked a family member to call from an Australian landline. It just made a few beeping noises for them and didn’t go to the usual blurb about a text message being sent. So I decided to call #111# to see what my balance was and found I only had .80cents so I quickly used it to recharge another add-on but now I’m worried this will mysteriously disappear again. I really need to talk to someone but I’m worried it will take all my credit while I wait to find someone who can help. Any advice please
The call rates when roaming in Vietnam are $2 per minute, so this is why it may feel like you are going through your credit faster than expected.
