I have just changed from TPG/Vodafone sim to a Boost mobile sim. My phone's signal strength bars have gone from 4 or 5 generally across Canberra - to just 1 or 2 bars.
Boost is connecting via 4g. I'm not sure about my TPG Sim but I think it would also have been 4g. I also have an Aldi sim - also telstra, but that's only doing 3g/2g.
I have had a call cut out unexpectedly and was unable to get a data download when I should have been/ in the past have been able to. I can SEE telstra tower from my window - and yet I am sitting here with 1-2 bars and signal strength of -109db.
Is it just me/my sim or is this a generic issue for Canberrans ?
