I'm now with Telstra but I would like to switch to Boost. 10 minutes ago I purchased a 12-month 85gb sim through your website, so obviously I have yet to receive it.
My question is, after I receive the SIM(12-month, 85gb), in order to port my telstra number to boost, do I still need to request a special blank sim? If yes, how do you ensure that after the blank sim is activated, it offers me 85gb in 12 months?
It can be done, but it can be tricky to do (need to get the correct support person to do it).
A noted less problematic way would by porting your Telstra number out to completely different provider ($2 sim at the shops should do it), wait for that to be done (ideally leave it there atleast overnight to ensure the port fully completes), and then port it into the new Boost sim.
