On the $20, 28day plan I use, I only get 100 minutes of calls and 2GB of data, yet they advertise it as unlimited calls and 5GB of data. So what's going on there Boost, why am I am I being short changed? Is it so I have to keep renewing so you make more money?!?!?

Did you maybe apply the recharge as an "add on" accidentally?

Hi. No it was not resolved. I even tried several times with their online chat support and after some chat and getting nowhere each time, they then just stop responding. Without exaggeration, the worst company I have ever experienced trying to get support from - THE WORST. Even trying to get through to them is a complete nightmare. You can tell they are affiliated with Telstra - absolutely hopeless.

The other thing maybe it could be, is if you are on one of the old plans (they used to have a $20 one with 100 minutes of calls a few years back).

From your phone, dial #111# and on the screen the pops up, the first line should tell you what offer you are on currently (as example, mine says "Anytime Plus").

Hi. It is an old plan and I told them that. It's a Boost Ultra Plan that I got 5 or 6 years ago. I would not of thought it would be rocket science to change it to the current $20 plan, but apparently it appears to be one for the too hard basket :/ Maybe they don't want to change it so they have the chance of getting a little bit more money out of me if I have to recharge earlier than 28 days. I'm not a huge cellular user and move from WiFi to WiFi, but do go over occasionally so would be nice to have what everyone else is getting for the same $20...

OK. I understand what is going on.

Boost has "offers" with a group of plans underneath them. And every couple years, they release a new "offer" with variations to the plans.

They do not automatially roll existing customers to the new offers, but invite users to opt into the new offer. Some customers prefer to the old offer for whatever reason.

To move over to a current offer, you actually do that yourself, on your phone.

If you have the Boost app installed, do the following :

1. Turn off wifi.

2. In the Boost app, select "My offer".

3. Select the option underneath "Change plan" (the current offer is called Anytime Ultra).

4. Confirm it all on the following screen.

If you don't have the Boost app though, do it as follows :

1. Turn off wifi.

2. Dial #111#.

3. On the screen, choose the option for "Acct Mgmt".

4. Select "Change Plan".

5. Select the new offer (Anytime Ultra, etc).

6. Confirm it all.

Your current offer will remain as-is for the current month, but then any future recharges will get the new inclusions.

Re: what I get on My $20 plan is very different from what boost advertise!

Hi. I can't test if that works or not. Resigned to the fact that Boost Technical Support are impossible to contact (Still waiting from over a month ago now) and useless when they do answer your chat because part way through they just stop responding, I gave up and moved on to another provider. Would have been good to have had this information back then, but thankfully I now have a much better plan with unlimited calls and SMS on the Telstra 4G network with 10GB of data per month with data banking so any data that does not get used, is added to the next month's 10GB. I'm not a big mobile data user anyway as I move between one WiFi access point to another. So Boost lost (another) customer and I gained a better plan! Cheers, Woz.
