Travelling made simple with Google Trips

Whether it’s a weekend away interstate or an overseas adventure, planning an itinerary and keeping track of all your bookings and reservations can be stressful. Google Trips makes it easy to organise your travel, so you can spend less time planning, and more time enjoying.

What can Google Trips do?

Keep all your travel details together

Google Trips uses your Gmail account to gather information about your upcoming trip, and collate details like flights, hotels, reservations and confirmation numbers all together in the app.

Already planned your trip? Even if you install Google Trips after you start booking your travel, the app will collate these plans too (including for past trips) and store these individually within the app. If you don’t use a Gmail account, you can also create trips from scratch.

Plan your day

Google Trips automatically plans a half-day or full-day of suggestions for things to see and do in the city you’re travelling to. You can edit these plans, or tap the ‘magic wand’ for a new list of nearby attractions.

The magic wand uses data such as transport options, typical visit duration of attractions, typical flow of visitors and opening hours to create achievable day plans. You can even choose from themed day plans, such as ‘kid-friendly’, and filter by time of day to include/exclude attractions based on opening hours.

Find what’s nearby

Want to find an art gallery nearby, or ready to stop for lunch at a hidden gem? Google Trips shows what’s around you, like cafes, shops, museums and popular attractions, so you can find your next destination on the go, fast.

All the info, none of the data

By downloading your trip before you depart, you can use Google Trips offline and access all your downloaded information without the need for a data connection. Not only will you have access to all your saved reservations and trip details, you can even utilise maps and recommendations offline.

All the things you need to know

Find all the important information about your travel destination, such as emergency phone numbers, the currency used, and where you can find a Wi-Fi connection in ‘Need to know’.

‘Getting around’ is full of helpful information on travelling to and from your destination, and how to get around using public transport, taxi/ride services, driving, walking and cycling.
